KNCV Nairobi Regional Office was established in 2008 as a field office under KNCV Unit Africa. The main purpose of the regional office is to provide technical assistance to the region, build up local technical assistance capacity for collaborating partners and coordinate regional activities in the fight against tuberculosis.
KNCV Regional office is a partner organization of the KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation (www.kncvtbc.nl), an internationally acclaimed centre of expertise for TB control globally, it is a non-governmental, non-profit development organization founded in 1903 and played a major role in the sharp decline of TB in the Netherlands.
KNCV works with the National Tuberculosis Programmes (www.nltp.co.ke) to realize its objective in the targeted countries in the region.

The mission of KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is the global elimination of tuberculosis through the development and implementation of effective tuberculosis control strategies.
Scope of Operation
Over the years, the core mission has remained remarkably constant, although the focus has grown from the national arena to include other countries; and in the past decade has grown to aim at global TB control.
